Samantha and Alex Prom

So I am seriously considering asking the prophet to consider
that kids can date either at 16 or they have to be a Junior
which ever is the latest. Can't believe Samantha was
asked to Prom. He did it in a cute way. He came to the
house while she was not quite home from school (another one
of Samantha's girlfriends was with him) and he put a note
on the stairs and then a trail of bananas down the stairs leading
to her bedroom where he waited for her with a rose.
The next day she had Alex's Spanish teacher tell him the
banana knock knock joke and then at the end say
"Aren't you glad Sam said yes!" and gave him a cute
bag full of oranges with candy kisses.
The day began with goofy golfing and go-cart riding.
Then dropped the girls off to get ready.
They then went to Brick Oven to dinner and then off
to Sun Dance Ski Resort for the dance.
Samantha said that she had a ball because Alex
was such a fun date. She told me that he whispered to her
"Thank you for wearing a modest dress" which she was
thrilled. The dress luckily was borrowed from a good
friend with two older sisters. Can you believe
prom dresses go for $200-$400 for just one night
crazy!!

Flooded Basement

So on Easter Sunday while we were in Arizona two of our neighbors
and my brother, Jared called because our basement had
flooded. The secondary water came on and one of our
valves had suck open. There was about 1 inch of water in the
basement. So these pictures do not even do it justice as to the
mess we have been in for over two weeks. The first day or two there
were approximately 25 heated fans in the basement.
We are working on getting it covered by the insurance
We will see!

Dad's Headstone

We were able to stop in Snowflake and see dad's headstone.
Jared drew the pictures of the mountain landscape.
I think that it looks wonderful. Would like to
possibly plant a mini pine tree close.

Spring Break in Fountain Hills, AZ

Matt's brother, Alan, works for a hotel and he was able
to get us some cheap nights at this resort in Fountain Hills.
It was awesome. We had soo much fun just resting, swimming
and seeing the city. A much needed break.

This is were the girls and the cousins would lay out to get
some sun inbetween coloring easter eggs.

My Weirdo Husband

This is my goodlooking husband with his goatee.
He loved it because he thought it covered up his fat chin.
One Sunday for his lesson (he use to teach the Priests) he shaved
half of it off and left half (ugly).
He then asked the priest if they are one way on Sunday and would
turn his head and then
another way the rest of the week and would turn
his head. The boys actually really liked it, but I had
more comments about it from the other priesthood leadership
because he wore it that way to church. What a heathen.

Busy, Busy Samantha

This is Samantha with one of her best friends, Ericka Hales.
Sam played basketball for the Maple Mountain Eagls and Ericka played
on Spanish Fork Dons team. They would battle hard against each other
during the game but then when they were finished they would
share their dinners with each other.
People could not believe that Samantha played basketball
as well because they all think she is a girly girl!

Samantha had a Child Growth and Development class this semester.
Matt and I were out of town when she had the assignment to
tend this baby that was programed to cry and need things. It was
hooked up to a bracelet that she had to wear and she had
to take care of the baby's ever needs and if it was not tended to
properly they could see from the download they would do on Monday
at school and she would either pass or fail the test.
When we got home we ask how it was and she stated that it was
horrible that the baby was crying all night and that they
couldn't even go to church (right, we thought)
Then on Monday at school the teacher realized that she had
sinked the wrong doll to Samanth's wrist band. No wonder
changing and feeding did not make it stop crying.
It was a great eye opener for Samantha because
she was hammered. It was funny! Love ya man!
