The Wreck

Samantha was at work and called Kylee to come and pick her
up.  Kylee did and they stopped by the gas station to fill up
and headed home.  They were on Canyon waiting for two cars
to pass so that Kylee could make a left hand turn.  I lady who
was "distracted" hit them from behind going over 50 mph.
The call I got from Kylee was horrifying as she was crying and
screaming to Samantha to see if she was okay.  The crash pushed
them clear on the other side of traffic.  Very lucky that there
were not cars coming the opposite direction.  Luckily
it was just a few streets from the house but I could barely
understand Kylee as to where exactly they were.  It
made my sick not knowing exactly how bad it was until I got
there.  They were hit so hard that when I got there their seats
were fully reclined back from the force of the hit.  They
were both okay.  Samantha did have a bump on her head
just above her left eye and her nose was bruised and
crooked.  Seatbelts saved them worse trauma.
Sad that you cannot protect your children all of the time
even tough we want to.  We have to just teach them the best
that we can and then turn them over to the world.
Luckily Kylee was a good driver and able to stop
the skid appropriately.  Love my girls!

Rotary Club Scholarship

Samantha received a Rotary Club Scholarship.
It was presented at a Chamber of Commerce
dinner which was really nice.  They gave away
27 sholarships that night and incldued
three different high schools from the area.
Samantha was so excited.  Now with the

Babies

The Prom Group

Prom 2012 Senior Year

Sam Judkins asked Samantha to Prom this year
they have been friends for quite a while.
Sam helps out with the volleyball team,
plays lacross and his dad is Samantha's
English teacher right now.  Sam make a video
and played it on the announcements one morning
asking her to prom it was very cute.  Samantha
said that the whole school was asking her about it
which made it fun.  They went with 3 other couples.
They went bike riding up Provo Canyon, ate at Tucanos
for dinner then to the dance.  This was the dress
that we happened to find in California.  It had a long
scarf that Samantha paid a lady in the area to make
sleeves for her.  I think that it turned out cute.

Work, work and more work

So blessed that the girls have a job.
But they are gone all of the time between
school activities, sports, young women and work.
They work at Model A Cafe in Mapleton.
They work about 2-4 nights a week depending.
Some nights when it is slow they do not
make any money but when it is busy they
do quite well.  I have learned to tip my
waiters and waitresses more because I have
daughters that work hard and some times only
get $1 tip.  It has been fun watching them
work together and try to work out
trading shifts if needed by begging, pleading
and bribing.

Other benefits of working at a Cafe---you get to
make your own food!
