Basketball Season Begins

And so it begins......another sport!  If Kylee did not love it as
much as she does I would say no----but she does.
These women look too cute to be the JV basketball team.
Kylee plays a guard position.
Samantha is done this year with sports.  She was accepted
to BYU Idaho but is trying to decide if this is too far
away from her loving parents--we shall see.
She is working at the Model A Cafe still, but
only a few nights a week.  She is the Laurels class
president and spends most of her free time, if that is
what you can call it, studying
for her Pre-Cal class which been kicking
her butt.  Both her and Kylee are the best of
friends and that is what I love to watch the most

Sadies Dance

Kylee took Thackery's little brother to Sadies.
It was a busy week with volleyball, school and
dances......so I suggested just not going
"Are you crazy mom?"
This is the dance where you match
your date.

Halloween

I do not like this picture but it is a memory.
I work at Alpine Pediatrics one day a week and
the one day I happened to work this year was
on Halloween Day so this is what I looked like.
It was actually fun.  The office women are so
much fun and really nice.  I enjoy working there.
Theme:  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
They had a nice luncheon for us with
grilled salmon.  It was yummy.  They
gave out awards and we won and so
received a milk shake.

Sisters in Arizona

During our trip to Arizona for Thanksgiving Lori to the
girls out a few times to take pictures.  Usually my
girls don't like getting their picture taken (usually sam)
but this time she was willing and I think that they
turned out beautiful.  They took pictures with the
cousins as well and look forward to those.
Kylee and Samantha have always loved
"the cousins".  Hope they will stay as close
when they are grownups.
Love my sister!!!!

Cutest Grandbabies

One of the first places we went when we got to Arizona was
Pete's Fish & Chips.  It was as good as we remembers.
Dax and Avie loved the fries.  It was a beautiful day at
Pioneer Park.  Lori took these fun pictures at the
park that day.  The other pictures with the lights she
took in her garage studio that she had set up.
We looooooooove the babies!

Thanksgiving Trip to Arizona

We traveled to Arizona for Thanksgiving to visit Lori and her family.
It was fun see the cousins together again.
Before the trip Bailee took Dax into the doctor and he had
double ear infection again.  He was given 2 rocephin shots
and started on abx again.  This is his 4th ear infection in just a few
short months.  He was great though.  We took turns having
one of the twins ride with us.  They were soooooo good!
Dad and I along with Seth and Bailee and the twins
stayed with uncle Alan.  The girls of coarse had to stay
at aunt Lori's with the cousins.  We have a wonderful
Thanksgiving feast.  Wyatt cooked two turkeys.
One of the days we were there the women all went to
see the new Twilight movie while the men stayed home
and watched the babies.  We also got a good deal on
wrapping paper from Walgreens "free"--thanks to
Bailee.  This weekend has again reminded me of what
really matters most and it is family!

MMHS Volleyball Service Project

They went somewhere in Mapleton and planted trees and picked
weeks.  It was great fun!  Not!  It was good to see them
all working together off of the court.  Memories!

Senior Night Volleyball

Kylee was able to give Samantha flowers and a nice quilt from the team for her Senior year.
It was a very nice guesture on the part of all of the girls!

Hopefully she is on her way to BYU-Idaho.  Elementary eductions for her!

It was a great night.  So proud.  A few nights later they had the volleyball
banquet in which they honored the girls.  Samantha had high academics with 3.65 GPA and Kylee with 3.98 GPA  They both received cerficates.  Samantha was awarded MVP for the
Varsity.  Kylee received Offensive Play for the sophmore.  So proud of both.  Sad it is
over.  Now on to basketball for Kylee.  Samantha will just work and apply for school.
They are however trying to recruit her for track or cross country which she is considering.  We shall see.

Babies

 These pictures were a
while a go.  But they are the cutest------we love
these precious grandbabies.

Bailee's Belly Last Year

So I ran across these pictures of Bailee's belly from last
holiday season.  She seems huge but when you think that
there are two babies in there she seems small.  I just
wanted to make sure I got these on my blog.
So cute!

Homecoming----SFHS and MMHS?

So the girls got asked to Spanish Fork High School's
Homecoming.  We had totally forgotten that Kylee
was now dating age.  Kylee had a day date and they went
four wheeling with another couple up Spanish Fork Canyon.
The boys did not bring any food or water and they were gone
from 10:00 am until almost 3:00 pm.  Then they went to
Texas Roadhouse for dinner---then the dance--then had a
bombfire up at the reservoir.  Kylee said that it was too
long of a date and if this is what dating was she really was not
to excited about it.  Sam on the other hand just had a nice
dinner and went to the dance.  I think that when you are Seniors
you finally get it.
Then 3 weeks later they both got asked to the MMHS
homecoming.  They both had a good time.  Luckily I work
with a lady that her daughter just went off to college and she was
the only girl and so she was able to purchase a beautiful dress
for every dance that she went to.  We went over and tried on all
of her wonderful dresses and the girls fit into every one of them.
They are excited because her mom stated that we could borrow any
of them any time we want.  Awesome!

Volleyball Season

This year Maple Mountain had an awesome volleyball team,
but they could just not pull it together.  They had five
seniors on the team---Samantha, Amanda, CiCi, Kylee B,
and Danny Esplin.  They were sooooo fun to watch.
Samantha rocked on her serves and outside hitting.
At the beginning of the season they won 9 straight games
in the East/West tournament in SLC.  Then
JV won the Provo tournamen they were in where
Kylee played.  Then the Sophomores also won thei
Provo tournament in which Kylee played as well.
It has been a long season.  They just went to state
and lost.  It was heartbreaking for the Seniors.
But like life all things must come to an end.

Kylee's 16th Birthday

This is Kylee's JV coach Tiffany Custer. She made her this
cake for her 16th birthday. It was so cute.
Kylee had a few friends over much nothing to spectacular
poor girl. 16th birthday came and went----not even
a driver's license---life is busy

The Mattress Sale

The Mattress Sale

The MMHS volleyball had a mattress sale. I was worried about it
because I can ask my neighbors to by some $15 cookie dough and have
them get crappy cookie dough because they know that they
are doing it mainly to support the girls and their volleyball. To
ask neighbors to spendind $500 and possibly get a crappy
mattress that you cannot return was a little nerve racking.
Thier sweet young woman leader stood up to the plate and
bought one. I do not think that she will every know truly what
that meant to the girls. The volleyball team ended up making
$5,000. It was a tiring all day afair but it ended up worth it.
Luckily my girls were in groups that were smart enough
to sit under shade when the could. Other girls were fried and sick
for days. Go MMHS!

Oh------My Children!

So these are my precious children. My dad always use to call us

jewels in his crown and I have not truly understood this until

lately. These are my jewels. They are soooooo special in

their own way. When I look at the trials in my life and wonder

why me sometimes I need to try and remember my

blessings. My great children and my wonderful

husband. Life is all about relationships and I for one

need to work harder at this.

Love my family!
