Summer Activities

The girls both participated in a volleyball tournament at

Utah Valley University. There were over 100 schools there competing.

They did not do so hot but it was some good practice.

It was 5 days long and on one of the days they all went to

Seven Peaks. They were there only 1/2 hour before it started

to thunder and then they shut everything down. The girls

said that even the 1/2 hour was a lot of fun.

SILLY GIRLS!

Youth Conference was just up Spanish Fork Canyon this
year. It was the same weekend as Dustin's wedding so the
girls only went up for one day. Samantha served on the
committee. It was a lot of work preparing but it turned out
to be a big success.

Samantha played on a club volleyball team during the spring.
Samantha plays outside hitter and does really well.
She has improved a lot and is looking forward to the school
season starting in August. This was their team at a farwall
dinner at Brick Oven.

4th of July Fun In Delta

Seth and Bailee

Dustin and Stephanie

Kylee

For the 4th we traveled to Delta to visit with Seth and

his little family. We 4-wheeled one day. The

next we watched the parade and then that night

the kids went to the demolition derby while

grandma and grandpa watched the twins. I think

Matt and I had more fun. It is so nice having

grownup children. They are so much fun. We love

to sit and visit. I love that the kids love to be

together. Life is good. I have been letting myself

get too discouraged about too many things when in reality

I have a really good life. You cannot have a testimony

if you have been been through the test.

Twins Are Six Months Old

The twins are 6 months now. They are so much fun.

I know though that they are a lot of work for Bailee and Seth.

They are the cutest! In order to sleep whether it be a nap

or bedtime they have to be wrapped like a burrito. I

will have to get a picture of that the next time.

Grandpa Porter Passed Away

Daxson

June 12th was Matt's dad's birthday. He's hearing has gotten

worse and so Cindy (Matt's sister) asked that we send

pictures our of family for dad to see instead of a phone call

because he gets discouraged because he cannot hear.

We had the wedding the day before and so Lori was able

to get a picture for us of the family and we e-mailed it to

dad for his birthday. The next Wednesday, June 15th

he passed away. His funernal was held in Hurricane, Utah.

I stole this picture from Jenny's blog---Thanks! Seth and

Dustin were both pallbearers. Jesse Porter is in the

picture as well in his uniform. It was a very nice service.

It is always good to see family again because it is

hard to stay in touch. I love Matt's family!

Dustin and Stephanie Got Married

I have not posted in a while and a lot of things have been happening.

First of all and most exciting is that Dustin got married.

Stephanie is a wonderful woman and we are so excited

to have her in our family. They were married June 11, 2011

in the Draper Temple. Stephanie is from Mapleton and comes

from a huge family. Their reception was held at the

Mapleton City Center. They are living in a little apartment

behind Glades in Spanish Fork. We are happy that they are so

close. Dustin is working at Stauffers and Stephanie just

got a job at a nursing care facility in Springville. They

are really good for each other.
